Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday morning (November 2, 2014) in the 11000 block of Cherry Hill Road.
Dispatchers received the call for shots fired at about 12:02 AM November 2, 2014. The first units to arrive found two victims of apparent gunshot wounds: Corey D. Clanagan, 19, of Culpeper, deceased at the scene, and Connor A. Settle, 21, of Front Royal, who was transported to Culpeper Regional Hospital. Clanagan and Settle were attending a party at 11009 Cherry Hill Road hosted by one of the residents, Tori Bayne, 21. Approximately 24 attendees remained at the scene, with about 100 fleeing after the shooting.
Units from the Sheriff’s Office are on the scene at this time, and investigators are interviewing witnesses. A Sheriff’s K9 unit located a firearm near the scene.
