A performance by country band Confederate Railroad is in the works for May 1, 2015, at the State Theatre to benefit the Culpeper Sheriff’s Charitable Fund.
Founded in 1987 in Marietta, Georgia, the country rock/southern rock band was the backup band for outlaw country artist David Allan Coe and Johnny Paycheck before their 1992 self-titled debut album, which included top ten singles “Jesus and Mama,” “Queen of Memphis,” and “Trashy Women.” The album certified double platinum. Their follow-up album, Notorious, certified platinum and included “Daddy Never Was the Cadillac Kind,” which peaked at number nine on the Billboard country chart and became a number one video as well. The opening act will be The Brown Bag Special at 7 p.m.
Concert sponsorship packages are available for purchase. Only seven Sheriff’s Sponsorships are available at $500, including two front row seats, backstage meet and greet with Confederate Railroad, black box catering, and advertisement in all media and on the big screen before and after the show. A $250 Captain’s Sponsorship includes two premium seats, black box catering, and advertisement on the big screen before and after the show. A $125 Sergeant’s Sponsorship includes two premium seats and black box catering. Donations only will be recognized as Deputy’s Sponsorships.
