Fireman’s Parade Lineup Change

Culpeper County Firemans Parade

Culpeper County Firemans Parade

Press Release from Culpeper Town Police:

The Culpeper County Volunteer Fireman’s Parade is coming up on May 21, 2015. This year there is going to be a change to the parade lineup.

To alleviate traffic concerns and improve safety for residents on the east side of the Town, the lineup will use the northbound lanes of Sperryville Pike, Old Rixeyville Road up to the roundabout, and West Street up to Cameron Street. The southbound lanes of Sperryville Pike will be converted to two-way traffic connecting with Blue Ridge Avenue. Colonel Jameson Boulevard will be utilized to maintain traffic flow during the parade.

Traffic travelling into town on Sperryville Pike will be directed down Colonel Jameson Boulevard to bypass the parade lineup, only parade entries will be allowed to travel past the roundabout. There will be both Fire and Law Enforcement officials at key locations to assist in directing parade entries and maintaining traffic flow.

Town of Culpeper Public Works will be providing materials for directing traffic flow and notifying drivers of changes in traffic direction.

For additional questions about particular entry locations and lineup procedures please review the Culpeper County Volunteer Fire Department’s Facebook page or visit culpeperfire dot com.
